Representing Archer Daniels Midland in Mexico since 1999, Gorbea is now the president and general director of ADM Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America and northern South America. He developed the agricultural part of the business, becoming a leader in the imports and distribution industry within Mexico.
Gorbea serves on the boards of directors of several companies and associations, including Terminales de Cargas Especializadas, Asociación de Proveedores de Productors Agropecuarios (México), A.C., Terminales de Granos del Pacífico Ltd. (TERPAC – Guatemala), Vimifos S.A. de C.V. and ADM Grain Costa Rica S. de R.L. For five years, he also served on the board of directors for Gruma, S.A.B. de C.V.
A double major in economics and finance, Gorbea has a bachelor of business administration from Texas State University and a master’s in business administration from Thunderbird School of Global Management through Arizona State University. He also has taken some leadership courses at Harvard University.
