Koch is the senior vice president of accounting, tax, finance and governmental affairs for McLane Company Inc. in Temple. Prior to joining McLane in 1989, he was employed as a consultant with the national accounting firms Ernst & Young and Deloitte & Touche, where he was designated as a Texas tax expert for national consultation, and as personal financial management coordinator for the Austin/San Antonio region.
A current member of Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar’s Business Advisory Group, Koch holds accounting and Master of Business Administration degrees from St. Edward’s University in Austin. He has earned professional credentials as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, and Certified Financial Planner.
Koch serves as the sole Trustee for the Callaway Scholarship Foundation and the Callaway Family Trust. He also is a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Central Texas Food Bank, where he chairs the Finance Committee, and sits as an Executive Committee member of the Board of Directors for the Texas Taxpayers and Research Association.
He regularly testifies before various state legislatures on a variety of technical tax, pricing and regulatory matters, and has been published in numerous professional publications.
