Larry Herwig, D.D.S.
A general dentist practicing in Dallas for more than 30 years, Dr. Larry Herwig graduated from Texas A&M College of Dentistry in 1984 and received a bachelor of science in chemistry from Texas State University in 1981.
Originally from Corpus Christi, Dr. Herwig has been president of both the Dallas County Dental Society (DCDS) and the Dallas Academy of General Dentistry, vice president of the Texas Dental Association (TDA), and chairman of the American Dental Association’s Council on Communications.
He holds fellowships in the American and International College of Dentists, the Academy of Dentistry International, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is currently an adjunct professor at Baylor College of Dentistry where he also serves on the admissions committee and is a mentor for the Great Expectations Student Mentor Program.
Dr. Herwig has served on both the TDA Smiles Foundation and the DCDS Foundation boards and was chair of the 2005 Texas Mission of Mercy charity event in Dallas. While on a church mission trip in southern India, he and his family set up a dental clinic and his wife, Roxanne, and daughters worked in a nearby orphanage and school.
